This was my parents' first show. They wanted to see what all the hubbub was about, and I had a couple extra tickets for them. Overall they enjoyed it. My dad later said that some of the spacey music was a bit much for him, but he liked it when Mickey played his talking drum*.

*I had a talking drum, so he was familiar with it.

very cool! How old were they? I was 52 in 1989, but I've enjoyed the band since my first show on 10/9/76.
My parents would have screamed and run out. They were big on Nat King Cole and The Son's of the Pioneers haha! (actually, I like those artists too) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQc5gDXQGIs
